Janek Czarnek
Janek is a current Part II student in the group from Magdalen College. Janek’s project revolves around investigating the photocatalytic mechanisms in organic semiconductor nanoparticles and probing the differences in efficiency when using Y6 or its polymeric version (PYIT) as an acceptor. His project uses transient EPR to characterise charge transfer and triplet states in these nanoparticles as well as computational simulations of these species.
In his spare time, Janek works on his cooking skills and enjoys movie nights with his friends. He is trying to run regularly in the local area and enjoys going on hikes with his dogs when back home in Scotland.
